Founded by bandleader Cameron Shave, "Timeless Jazz & Hits" was created to bridge the gap between jazz’s creative, improvisational spirit and today’s musical landscape—drawing inspiration from contemporary film scores much like past jazz musicians reimagined the popular songs of Broadway.
This versatile 4–6 piece ensemble offers a wide-ranging repertoire: family favorites, party starters, cocktail music, timeless standards from the Great American Songbook, and instrumental covers of classic hits. Expect everything from Billy Joel to Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra to Chicago.
Unlike the larger Cameron Shave Jazz Orchestra, this group is designed to fit comfortably in any setting—from intimate venues and small stages to outdoor events and even sidewalks. With the ability to perform either acoustically or fully amplified, the band can seamlessly adapt to any space or volume requirements.
Also unlike many of Cameron's other projects, which are tailored towards continuing to innovate the music through it's roots and traditions, "Timeless Jazz & Hits" has the goal of bringing the influences of jazz into the songbooks of all generations for an experience that can be enjoyed by all groups of people.
